Why Robinhood Chain needs a dedicated data layer.
Robinhood put real equities on-chain. That makes it the rare L2 whose primary output is not tokens but 200+ tokenized equities — instruments that split, pay dividends, and halt, with 13 distinct corporate-action types moving them, all of it public and exact to the last decimal place.
Generic RPC providers treat that firehose like any other EVM chain: an anonymized tape, float-rounded values, history left as someone else's problem. The information that makes the chain valuable (who traded, at exactly what price, with the book in exactly what state) is discarded at the door.
RobinhoodRPC exists to keep it. One pipeline carries every trade, order, and book delta from our own nodes into a live gRPC stream and a permanent archive with the same schema, so the data you backtest on is, byte for byte, the data you trade on.

Self-operated nodes
We run our own Robinhood Chain node fleet with automated failover and redundancy. No resold third-party infrastructure sits between your subscription and the chain. When something breaks, we fix our own machines.
Validated against the chain
Raw prices, sizes, PnL, and fees stay in decimal representations through ingestion and storage instead of being converted to binary floats. Calculated outputs are documented separately.
Aligned raw fields, live and stored
Real-time streams and the historical archive come off the same pipeline with the same fields and encoding. Hundreds of millions of rows are added every day; nothing is sampled, rounded, or expired.

Honesty in benchmarks
Latency figures are measured, percentile-labeled, and published with methodology. Comparison tables keep their honest partial marks. A claim we can't prove doesn't ship.
Compatibility
Wire-compatible with the QuickNode and Dwellir client stubs you already run. Switching providers should be an endpoint change, not a rewrite, in either direction.
Operational calm
Boring is the goal: ordered heights, client-requested recent replay, and automated failover. The best market-data feed is the one you stop thinking about.
A small team that answers its own pagers.
RobinhoodRPC is built and operated by a small, senior infrastructure team. The engineers who designed the pipeline run the fleet, write the docs, and answer the technical questions. There is no tier-one queue between you and someone who can fix things.
You won't find stock photos or an invented org chart here. When we publish faces and names, they will be real ones. Until then, judge us the way we'd want to be judged: by the live telemetry and the changelog.
